Cascadia Wildlands cares deeply about the well-being of our employees, our relationships with the community, and our role in the greater environmental movement.

Our effectiveness is predicated on the health, vibrancy, and resiliency of our staff, and the organization pays particularly close attention to these qualities and invests in its staff through competitive wages, a solid benefits package, generous time off, and flexible work schedule and location. Cascadia Wildlands is an equal opportunity employer. Please find openings for staff positions, internships, fellowships, and contractors below.

LEGAL INTERNS

Each year we hire several interns from law schools across the country to join our legal team. Overseen by Legal Director, Nick Cady, these aspiring attorneys receive a competitive stipend and are tasked with duties such as drafting complaints and preliminary injunctions, researching case law to support our claims, field checking timber sales, attending oral argument in state and federal court, and even helping staff our outreach table at prominent community events. We typically advertise for our summer legal interns in November-December the year prior.

Our legal interns greatly bolster our litigation efforts and help us notch lasting victories for the wildlands, waterways and species in Cascadia. Many have gone on to become leaders in our country’s next generation of public interest, environmental attorneys.
