September 6-7 Event Will Benefit Oregon Adaptive Sports and Cascadia Wildlands

Bend, OR — Bigstock Fundraiser has announced its 15th annual music event to be held at Hoodoo Ski Area on September 6-7 as a benefit for Oregon Adaptive Sports and Cascadia Wildlands.

Billed as “Two Days of Music in the Mountains” Bigstock will be headlined by award-winning artists, including Greensky Bluegrass, Margo Price, and Oteil and Friends. The event includes two days of music, food and drink vendors, educational tables, late-night shows in the lodge, and optional camping at 5,000 feet in the heart of the Oregon Cascades.

“Bigstock simply originated as a full-day music festival celebrating the community and a non-profit organization called Healing Reins,” says Bigstock founder, Brett Gingold. “It has evolved into a showcase of world-class talent that not only enables us to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars for charitable organizations, but also brings music up close to those who truly appreciate it in a very intimate setting.” 

Now in its 15th year, Bigstock Fundraiser has a sole mission of raising funds through philanthropic events. From the early years of backyard concerts featuring local bands entertaining a few hundred people to now hosting at Hoodoo Ski Area and entertaining up 3,000 guests, the production and its popularity has grown significantly.

“For over a decade Bigstock has rallied the community to generate incredible support for the mission of OAS while celebrating great music and the beauty of Oregon’s outdoor spaces,” says OAS’ Executive Director, Pat Addabbo. “Coming together for the second time at Hoodoo Ski Area, a place where OAS has provided thousands of opportunities for individuals with disabilities to enjoy the thrill of skiing, creates a magical environment in one of our most cherished places.”

Past artists that have performed at Bigstock Fundraiser include Bob Weir and the Wolf Brothers, Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, Ozomatli, Los Lobos, and Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real.

“Seeing live music and enjoying Oregon’s great outdoors are a quintessential summer combination,” says Josh Laughlin, Executive Director of Cascadia Wildlands. “Bigstock 2024 is sure to be a memorable opportunity to share our environmental mission with showgoers amidst a majestic backdrop of the Cascade Mountains and cutting-edge performances.”

Local band The Dirty Dandelions will dazzle and delight with their new-time folkgrass sound; complete with banjo frailing, flatpickin, fiddle-stomping, washtub bass, and sweet three-part vocal harmonies. They’ll be playing original tunes that inspire social change as well as traditional favorites.

Cascadia Wildlands staff and volunteers will be at our outreach table with some of our sweet swag in hand. Pop by for a beer or two, grab some dinner at a local food cart, get yourself a tie-dyed wolf bandana while you can, and check in about our current conservation campaigns.

Pints Gone Wild! is an all-day “Pints For A Cause” benefit event at the Ninkasi Tasting Room where $1 of every pint sold there is generously donated to Cascadia Wildlands to support a wide range of the organization’s conservation work, including designating the Devil’s Staircase Wilderness in the Oregon Coast Range, securing Gray Wolf recovery in the Pacific West, protecting wild salmon, and ensuring our public lands stay in public hands.

The event is ADA accessible, free, and open to the public.
