February 5 – The Forest Service announced “proposed revisions to the regulations governing the predecisional administrative review.” The proposed rule would hinder and obstruct public participation by reducing the duration of public comment windows by over 50%.
February 12 – Trumps EPA eliminates the landmark scientific 2009 ‘endangerment finding’ which determined greenhouse gases responsible for climate change endangered public health, effectively eliminating the authority for the agency to curb or regulate climate pollution under the Clean Air Act.
